QuicKit #3: Flag and Lantern Stand (HO)

(2 customer reviews)

$29.00

This HO scale flag and lantern stand was used by caboose crews to replenish the lights, flares and other safety equipment used on the road.  The lower storage shed kept basic supplies.  The upper deck and shed were used to easily get to the roof of the caboose to clean windows and service marker lights.  A walkway would bridge the gap between the platform and the caboose roof for easy access.  This complex-looking  structure builds quickly with the templates included.  This is a quality craftsman kit with thorough instructions that are amply illustrated.  Click here for QuicKit pictures or “how-to” videos.

This kit includes color-coded stripwood, laser cut walls, staircase, hinges, goose-neck lamp, nut/bolt castings and roofing material.  Footprint is 1″ x 4″.

You will see how much improved your finished model made one of my servicing facilities look. You might consider giving seminars to other kit manufacturers on how to write really good instructions as yours were some of the best I have used. The step by step pictures were especially helpful. In summary an enjoyable addition to my model railroad.

This is awesome! Never seen a kit like this. I’ve got the perfect spot near my caboose track on my C & O railroad. Thanks!

Thanks Sam. The templates speed construction – looks complex but easy to build. Be sure and check out the videos with this QuicKit to aid in construction.
