QuicKit #4: Yard Bunkhouse (HO)

(2 customer reviews)

$25.00

This HO scale bunkhouse was often used at the end of the freight run, when the crew needed a hot meal and warm bed before heading out early the next day.  After eating at the local burger joint, they would often head to the yard bunkhouse.  Typically this was a warm and dry building located in or near the yard.  The railroad would provide the bunkhouse so the workers were close by for the inevitable pre-dawn call.   This is a quality craftsman kit with thorough instructions that are amply illustrated.  Click here for QuicKit pictures or “how-to” videos.

This kit includes scale stripwood, laser cut walls, windows/doors/trim and porch railing, as well as roofing material.  Footprint is 2.5″ x 5″.  Vehicle, people and trash can as shown are not included.

I just finished building your QuickKit Bunkhouse, a Christmas present from my wife, and it was a pleasure to do so. Keep up the good work.

  2. Leo

I’ve the perfect spot in my yard for this little kit. Your laser cut pieces almost make it fall together.

Thanks Leo! We really like the way the windows and doors came out on this one. Almost foolproof!
